Spring Returns to the Forest: Studio Reopening for Easter & Beyond

As winter slowly loosens its grip, the New Forest begins to change. The days grow longer, woodland light softens, and the Forest quietly comes back to life. After a seasonal winter closure throughout January and February, Candles of the Forest will be reopening in mid-March 2026, just in time for Easter and the Easter half term a perfect moment to welcome visitors, creativity and the gentle energy of spring back into the studio.

Springtime in the New Forest

Spring is one of the most special times to visit the New Forest National Park. Fresh green growth begins to appear along woodland paths, village greens brighten, and the Forest feels renewed after the stillness of winter. Ponies and cattle are more visible again, grazing on open lawns and wandering through villages, while the first foals of the year will soon begin to arrive, a sure sign that the season has turned. It’s a time of quiet transformation, where everything feels lighter, and people naturally spend more time exploring, creating and reconnecting with nature.

At Candles of the Forest, every candle is hand poured here in the New Forest, using carefully selected wax blends chosen for their quality and performance. Our candles are made using a coconut and flax plant wax, creating a clean, slow, even burn and allowing each fragrance to develop beautifully. Our extensive range of wax melts are hand poured using a soy and mineral wax blend, producing excellent scent throw and fine detail across our themed designs. Every fragrance in the collection is New Forest inspired, telling the stories of its landscapes, animals, villages and traditions.

With the studio reopening this spring, we’re also introducing ten brand-new fragrances for 2026, thoughtfully developed over the winter months. Each new scent draws inspiration from real places, traditions and moments within the New Forest, expanding the collection while staying true to its roots. These fragrances will be available across selected hand-poured candles, wax melts and refill candles, giving both returning visitors and first-time guests something entirely new to discover. It’s part of our ongoing commitment to capturing the spirit of the Forest in scent, preserving its stories in a way you can take home and enjoy every day.
